    Reporting to the Lab and Technical Services Manager within the Powr-Gard business unit, the High Power Lab Engineer is responsible for providing power/surge lab services.
    
    RESPONSIBILITIES:
    
    * Possess a complete understanding of high power lab equipment and testing capabilities including creation of new electrical circuits, set up or new/existing circuits, set up/operation of data acquisition equipment, and extracting data from oscillographs.
    
    * Ensure efficient and effective departmental operations through management of the Engineering test Request database, lab maintenance, and scheduling of witness testing as well as calibration events.
    
    * Test products according to guidelines of Third-Party specifications; should be/become well-versed in standards (UL248, UL4248).
    
    * Participate in design verification/validation programs.
    
    * Evaluate product and/or application issues. Requirements - B.S. E.E. is needed to fully understand the circuitry of the High Power Lab.
    
    * 0-2 years experience in electrical industry.
    
    * Good problem solving & research skills.
    
    * Project Management experience.
    
    * Computer word processing and spreadsheet experience.
    
    * Able to handle multiple tasks efficiently.

In this role you would be working on developing the next generation Big Data stack utilizing Hadoop for Batch, Storm for real time, and Spark for Iterative.
