As a Senior Mobile Developer working at John Deere’s Innovation Center in Champaign, IL, you will have a front row seat to the digital farming revolution. You will lead projects with complex software challenges that help deliver a “connected experience” for John Deere’s customers. We are looking for individuals who enjoy tackling tough problems in a creative way. If you’re passionate about making our farmers more productive through mobile technologies, we’d like to talk with you.
In this role you will:
· Be a member of a highly skilled agile software development team working closely with other team members to ensure the success of our innovative mobile products
· Write production code that improves the efficiency of our customer's equipment
· Work closely with Software Development Engineers in Test (SDETs) and Product Owners (POs), each contributing equally to the development life cycle
· Build software in an environment that fosters a 'culture of speed'
· Help lead the adoption of agile software development practice
What It Takes

Ideally, you will have a degree in Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent experience in a related career field. In addition we require:
· 5+ years of professional software development
· Native iOS development in Objective C/Swift (e.g., at least 1 year of experience, and/or significant involvement in delivering at least 1 app to the Apple app store)
· 1+ years of experience in aspects of the mobile lifecycle such as application structure, device and operating system API's, debugging, performance, security, accessibility and deployment
· Excellent communication, sharp analytical abilities and proven design skills
A strong candidate will also have:
· Experience with other languages such as C++, Java, Ruby
· 1+ years of experience with Android mobile development
· 1+ years of experience in one of more of the following: Ajax, REST, JSON
· Advanced degree preferred
