What You'll Do
As a Mobile Product Owner working at John Deere’s Innovation Center in Champaign, IL, you will have a front row seat to the digital farming revolution. You’ll help lead mobile projects that deliver a “connected experience” for John Deere’s customers. We are looking for individuals who enjoy tackling tough problems in a creative way. In this role you will:
· Be a member of a highly skilled agile software development team working closely with other team members to ensure the success of our innovative mobile products
· Break down customer mobile requirements in to a prioritized set of user stories with well-defined acceptance criteria
· Work to ensure all functional and non-functional requirements are captured for each user story
· Verify that completed user stories meet all acceptance criteria and enforce the definition of done
· Coordinate dependencies with the other product owners
· Be responsible for delivering mobile software features that support all marketing requirements
What It Takes

Ideally, you will have a degree in Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent experience in a related career field. In addition we require:
· 3+ year(s) of professional software development experience
· 1+ year(s) of leadership experience as a scrum master, tech lead or test lead
· At least one year of experience and/or significant involvement in delivering a major software application to the market
· Excellent communication skills and sharp analytical abilities
A strong candidate will also have:
- Experience with programming languages such as C++, C#, Java, and Ruby
- Experience with mobile software development on the iOS or Android platform
- Experience in one of more of the following: Ajax, REST, JSON, TCP/IP
- Advanced degree preferred
