Curriculum & Content Design Manager
Objectives: Development, delivery and tracking of effective learning programs to meet defined sales training needs and company wide sales objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Development and design of training curriculum to meet the needs of new and existing sales employees. Including leadership development courses and on-boarding materials for new Sales leaders. Assess learner needs and styles, define learning objectives and develop curriculum plans to meet objectives
- Work with colleagues, managers and others to get feedback and implement changes throughout the design process
- Build highly engaging self-paced modules, virtual, video, animation videos and classroom programs utilizing the latest technology for curriculum development. Design knowledge assessments, quizzes, and exams
- Evaluate curriculum and attend product update meetings and create, edit or update curriculum as necessary
- Follow established curriculum development methods and defined development standards
- Develops and manages internal websites to house curriculum training materials
- Communicates launch of new learning programs & schedules webinars for learning deployment
- Aids the proposal development and release documentation teams with formatting, editing, proofreading, organizing and quality control of materials.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
- Demonstrated skills in a variety of educational technologies including learning management systems, curriculum databases, electronic instructional design tools, web-based applications, graphic design, and multimedia educational products such as screen-based simulation and other multimedia based formats.
- Excellent organizational skills required, experience with project management tools & techniques preferred.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills required for interaction with Marketing, sales and other staff and constituencies at all levels.
- Demonstrated experience designing curriculum and learning materials for highly engaging elearning, virtual instructor-led (VILT), classroom instructor-led (ILT) and web-based training
- Highly organized and able to work with minimal supervision and be responsible for overseeing projects.
- Understanding of user experience (UX) and multimedia design principles
- Knowledge and experience at leveraging technology solutions including HTML microsites, graphics, animations and videos for ease of access to curriculum for internal and external audiences.
- Knowledge of: Adobe Captivate 7 or higher, Photoshop, Adobe InDesign, Keynote, Camtasia 7 or higher, Lectora Inspire, Adobe Fireworks, Adobe Acrobat Pro
Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years curriculum development experience
- Bachelor’s degree in instructional design or similar concentration or work experience equivalent
- Ability to develop and aid in delivery of training sessions virtually utilizing video conferencing technology via WebEx Training Center tools, animations and video content for self paced learning and elearning.
- Expert level knowledge of PowerPoint, Microsoft Office suite, Adobe Captivate 7 or higher, Photoshop, Adobe InDesign, Keynote, Camtasia 7 or higher, Lectora Inspire, Adobe Fireworks, Adobe Acrobat Pro and Webex
