Food Trucks to Return to Research Park
As the weather gets nicer and the academic year comes to a close, food trucks will be returning to Research Park. For the most updated schedule and information check researchpark.illinois.edu/FoodTrucks regularly.

Research Park Softball League Organizing
We are getting a head start on organizing the Research Park summer softball league. Anyone who works in the Research Park is eligible to play. Companies can sign up an entire team or individuals/groups can be placed on another team. We are also looking for a new coordinator of the league. AgNode I-Corps, May-June in Champaign
University of Illinois at Urbana–Champaign's Technology Entrepreneur Center in conjunction with University of Michigan's Center for Entrepreneurship, is hosting an I-Corps training session agriculture related technologies. The program is designed to help companies transition towards a successful SBIR application or venture funding, based on the highly successful NSF I-Corps program format. This program offers a customized curriculum to help participating researchers discover the commercial potential of their technology in the Agriculture industry.The four main areas include: Animal production and protection; Crop production and protection; Natural resources and sustainable Ag; systems and nutrition; Food safety and quality. EnterpriseWorks SBIR and VC Funding News Update
EnterpriseWorks (EW) startup companies have now reached a total of $893,089,390 in VC/Angel funding raised. Of this, the total for VC/Angel funds raised while companies were tenants in the incubator clients has been $250,313,405. In 2015, EW and former EW companies raised $12,283,980 in SBIR/STTR funding (compared to $11,911,670 in 2014 and $9,221,001 in 2013).

Research Park Student Wage Data Compiled
The Research Park completed its semi-annual census and included data gathering on student compensation at the Research Park & EnterpriseWorks. Average wages in the Research Park for student employees: Software/data/IT: undergrad $18/hour, grad $26/Hour; Engineering/biotech/chemistry/materials: undergrad $17/hour, grad $24/Hour; and Business/finance/market research: undergrad $15/hour, grad $17/Hour. Applying for TSA Pre✓® through this local enrollment event is easy.  Applicants canpre-enroll ahead of time by simply going to http://www.identogo.com/cmi and filling out steps 1 through 7. Once you arrive at step 8, type in your location “Savoy, IL” and then be sure to choose “Willard Airport.” Next, at the bottom of the screen is Step 9 where you can select an appointment time (the first available shows, but you can use the drop down to choose a different date and/or time).
