Administrative / Marketing Assistant
Starfire Industries LLC has an immediate opening for an office assistant with marketing experience. The successful candidate will work side-by-side with our office manager as our company grows. Strong computer knowledge, communication skills, and the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines is a must. A keen eye for aesthetics is needed for trade show preparation and technical media generation. Experience with IT is a plus. The position is flexible to accommodate half-time or full-time employment depending on the candidate.
Starfire is a leading manufacturer of IMPULSETM pulsed power modules for thin-film deposition systems and nGenTM compact particle accelerators for neutron generation and imaging. We are a fast-paced, small-company atmosphere with an opportunity to work with an incredible team, contribute to multiple products in development/production and make an impact. Starfire is located in Champaign, IL on the Research Park at the University of Illinois--and are expanding engineering and production space in 2016. We currently have 21 employees.
Job Description
- Create and maintain electronic and paper filing systems
- Enter bookkeeping data and generate reports as necessary
- Assist with new hire onboarding, eVerify and benefit plan paperwork
- Coordinate trade show logistics and design/print of marketing materials
- Proof technical documents, manuals and literature for customers
- Handle maintenance, shipping/receiving, supplies, ordering food, errands
- Assist personnel for corporate travel and meeting coordination
- Work with external subcontractors’ paperwork
- Support sales team with customer feedback tracking and data logging
- Some travel possible for trade shows and events
- Other duties as assigned
Required
- B.A. or B.S. degree in relevant field
- Minimum of 2+ years’ post-college work experience
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
- Attention to detail and problem solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Strong organization and planning skills
- Experience in:
- QuickBooks
- Microsoft Office
- Familiarity with print media and graphic layout
Desired
- Minimum of 5+ years’ post-college work experience
- Experience in:
- Microsoft Project or Gantt/WBS software
- Microsoft Sharepoint
- Microsoft Small Business Server IT
