Web Development Intern

Education/Experience

·        Students in computer science and related fields, graduating senior or Master’s students preferred

·        Previous experience in web frontend and backend design with PHP, Java, HTML/CSS etc

·        Previous technical project and technical information/documentation tools such as wiki is a plus.

·        Experience in an academic institution or a technology company is preferred.

Duties and Responsibilities

·        Assist in creating and building online interface infrastructure for Huawei Technologies Co.,Ltd. in various scope of joint programs with the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and/or other internal projects.

·        Work with program managers and technical staffs and understand the specifications of each project in terms of its public exposure, audiences and internal documentation needs

·        Assist with designs of both backend and frontend visual representations of outreaching materials for desired programs/projects

·        Implement both backend and frontend designs using appropriate languages and tools

·        Assist various teams in building technical documentation in wiki-style infrastructure and templates for internal communications.

·        Other duties as assigned.

Approximate hours per week: 10-15

Availability: starting as soon as possible, through spring semester.
