Summary
The Social Media Internship gives students an opportunity to learn more about marketing. Interns will interact with multiple levels of the promotional process. Position is paid hourly.
Requirements
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Interest in marketing, communication, or social media applications
· Experience working with email marketing service
· Ability to organize and interpret data related to internet usage
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team
· Ability to focus simultaneously on short- and long-term projects
· Familiar with Microsoft Office Suite; comprehensive knowledge of Excel
· Awareness of Google Analytics and/or other methods of tracking patterns of user interaction with websites and e-newsletters
· Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time
· Constantly operates a computer or other office equipment
· Must be able to move about occasionally inside and outside the office to access file cabinets or other office related supplies.
· Ability to commit 10+ hours a week
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
· Engaging with the marketing process
· Interacting in weekly lessons
· Evaluating effectiveness of promotional activities and marketing campaigns
· Assisting with creation of newsletters and other promotional materials
· Assist with analysis of website traffic
· Other tasks as required by the Publishing Department or Management.
