This is a new internship program designed to help ADM develop a pipeline of new products. The position is designed to support ADM’s research division in evaluating the market potential for new products and technologies.
· Perform market research and assess the competitive landscape to help the company evaluate the risks and market potential for new products.
· Gather, analyze and report relevant data under close supervision of ADM’s staff
· Major focus will be supporting the development of value proposition to support R&D investments.
To be successful, you should have a basic understanding of technology and the business environment. Gathering, analyzing and summarizing key data is important. Ability to communicate and present the information is important. Identifying relevant data sources is also essential. Ability to thrive in a team environment is essential. You will be pursuing a degree in a business related field with the ability and interest in performing strategic analysis. A basic understanding of chemical/food processing/feed ingredients is preferred. Ideal candidate will be a MBA student with an undergraduate degree relevant to chemical/food processing/feed ingredients but students in undergraduate programs with relevant skills will be considered.
· Must be registered as a full-time student at UIUC
· Grad date – May 2017 – May 2018 preferred
· Cumulative GPA of 3.0 and above
· 12 - 20 hours/week during the academic year
· 35 - 40 hours/week during the summer semester
· Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of products is necessary
