Vahid Aidun, Dow AgroSciences

Vahid has held licensing, technology acquisition and intellectual property roles before joining Dow AgroSciences in 2010. Vahid also leads the assessment of external opportunities, conducts employee IP & agreements training, and is a member of Dow AgroSciences’ Science Ambassadors. A Canadian native, Vahid has a Ph.D. in Crop Science from University of Guelph.

Adam Weiss, GSI Group, Inc.

Adam Weiss, who leads product development at GSI, is an expert in embedded systems, software, and
sensors. With more than twenty years of experience, he has brought innovative products to market in
telecommunications, renewable energy, and agriculture industries.

Bruce Tallion, Elanco Animal Health

Bruce identifies and evaluates innovative projects to help build and sustain the Elanco pipeline. For the past 20+ years, he has been engaged in a variety of Biopharmaceutical and Biotechnology enterprises. Much of Bruce’s experience consists of identification of biotherapeutic targets and implementing drug discovery and development technologies.

Nick Nissing, The Climate Corporation

The Climate Corporation focuses on helping farmers sustainably increase their productivity through digital tools. Prior to his current role, Nick worked in a variety of roles at Monsanto. Nick is a registered patent agent with a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Washington University in St. Louis, where he teaches as an adjunct faculty member.

William Schroeder, Archer Daniels Midland Company

Dr. Schroeder is responsible for Metabolic Engineering, Strain Development and Fermentation Process Development in support of ADM’s fermentation-based processes. Before joining ADM in 2011, he spent 12 years at Cargill Incorporated. Dr. Schroeder is the author or inventor of 16 publications and patents and has his Ph.D. in Bacteriology from the University of Wisconsin.
