The Capital One Illinois Digital Campus Lab focuses on research and experimentation in data science and data technologies as well as on infrastructure automation and use of the most modern programming frameworks and technologies such as Open Source, Big Data, Cloud, DevOps, among others.
Capital One Illinois Digital Campus Lab Intern
The Capital One Illinois Digital Campus Lab is located in the Research Park at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. A variety of software development groups within Capital One provide students with opportunities to contribute to innovative projects. Projects may involve development for web, tools, large scale data analytics, ML/AI/NLP, SQL/NoSQL databases, open source, cyber security, automation or mobile apps.
Basic Qualifications
- Current undergraduate or graduate student of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field of study
- Completed introductory software development course work or equivalent experience
- Ability to work 10 to 20 hours/week during the academic year (for fall or spring internships)
- Ability to work 35 to 40 hours/week during the summer semester (summer internships)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Python, Java, Javascript, or C/C++
- Experience with relational databases
- Experience with large scale data analytics
- Experience with AWS
- Experience with machine learning, deep learning, natural language processing
