The AGCO Acceleration Center is looking for a highly talented Cloud Software Engineering intern to join our team at the Research Park for the Spring 2020 semester. In this role, you will work closely with the AGCO’s Precision Planting team to develop the next level of capability to our 2020.ag cloud offering to enable our next generation of products to help farmers across the world.
Job Responsibilities:
- Developing responsive web interfaces that allow customers to interact with our products
- Implementing backend services that interface with our products
- Working closely with our software engineers to help design product features
Our Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Experience with JavaScript, HTML5 and CSS
- Experience with a JavaScript framework such as React or Node.js
- Experience with SQL database backends such as PostgreSQL or MySQL
- Experience using Linux
- Experience with Amazon Web Services or Google Cloud
- Experience with TCP communications protocols
- Willingness to be flexible and move quickly
- Strong initiative and ability to work independently
Qualifications:
- Currently seeking a degree in computer science or a related field
- Must be registered as a full-time student
- Must be able to commute to the work location on a daily basis
- Understanding and appreciation of software design and engineering best practices
- Strong time management and creative problem solving skills
Additional Details:
This is a paid, part-time internship for Spring 2020 at the AGCO Acceleration Center in the University of Illinois’ Research Park. Students are required to work 10-20 hours a week on-site at our office in Research Park.
