Position Summary:
Abbott Nutrition is seeking a student to support the Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR) staff in working on projects that align with research and development (R&D) and commercial strategy.
A Nutrition Health Economics & Outcomes Research Intern will be responsible for:
· Support HEOR quality improvement program (QIP) studies
· Conduct qualitative and quantitative data analyses
· Communicate findings and progress to scientific mentor on a regular basis
· Present findings via an abbreviated executive summary and slide presentation
Qualifications:
· Must be a current UIUC PhD student in Economics, Agricultural Economics, Nutrition and/or related discipline
· Experience in qualitative and quantitative data analysis
· Ability to read and synthesize large amounts of technical information
· Good technical writing skills are critical
· Excellent verbal/written English language skills
· Knowledge in the use of Microsoft Excel, Power Point, Word, SAS, STATA, or SPSS
· Able to work independently and respond well to feedback
· Self-motivated, reliable, and able to meet deadlines
What We Offer to Our Student Employees:
· Part-time, paid position at the UIUC Research Park Abbott office
· Hourly wage commensurate with year in school
· 10-20 hours/week (exceptions made on a case-by-case basis)
· Flexible work schedule, Monday-Saturday
Position Start Date:
· Position to begin as early as summer semester 2015 and will continue through end of the year; preference given to candidates who can continue into 2016
