John Deere Technology Innovation Center Algorithm Analyst
JDTIC is developing a large scale, mobile connected system that involves estimates of a large number of items.
You will develop, test, and refine algorithms while working with a dispersed team comprised of full-time, part-time, interns and technology development partners.
You should have demonstrated experience solving real-world problems. You must be comfortable dealing with ambiguous problem definitions, and relish the opportunity to re-shape and scope problems properly. You will define the needed data to collect in order to validate and refine the algorithms.
An ideal candidate will have a strong background in estimation/mathematics, some experience in programming, and exposure to agile software development. A basic understanding of the use and operation of mobile devices is required. We would like to see approximately 1 year of professional experience, OR 1 year of graduate level research work in estimation and/or queuing theory related work.
We are looking for a math, CS, or other major with an emphasis on estimation. Coding skills desired include Mathematica, python, or Matlab, or equivalent, in order to analyze the problem.
