CHAMPAIGN – Chicago Inno, one of the Midwest’s leading online tech and business magazines, recently did a profile on Josh George. The article highlights George’s life, athleticism, and his involvement with EnterpriseWorks startup Intelliwheels.

Josh George lends his years of wheelchair athletics experience to Intelliwheels everyday as their product manager. From the court or track to the office or trade show, George’s work continues to shine. He first came to Illinois as an athlete to be a part of Illinois’s long tradition of accessibility in athletics and on campus. In 2010, while on campus to continue his athletic training, he met Marissa Siebel and Scot Daigle where he joined their Intelliwheels team and helped develop geared wheels for wheelchairs, and eventually FitGrips, their signature product.

George is expected to win big this year at the Rio Paralympics. Combined with his BMW sponsorship deal, 2016 has been a good year for him. In regards to his fourth trip to the Paralympics George said:

"I’m constantly going out and trying to maximize my potential, maximize my ability as an athlete. "Rio is another shot to do that. I’m excited. I think I’m more excited and less nervous than I have been since Athens when I was carefree."

"I’m there to see how fast this body can go."

-----------------------------------------

At Jump Labs we’re building a Bitcoin trading platform and have openings for part-time software engineering internships in fall 2016 and spring 2017.

As a software engineering intern, you will have the opportunity to help us build a sophisticated trading platform from the ground up, while receiving guidance and mentorship from engineers who build Jump Trading’s high-performance infrastructure for trading on financial exchanges around the world.

Our Bitcoin development team has the feel of a startup. It is small and flexible, so you will have the chance to make a big impact, lead others, and contribute to decisions about tools and technologies that will be used to build the system.

You will learn fundamentals of robust infrastructure design; sharpen your C++ programming skills; and contribute code to critical technology areas such as connecting to exchanges, managing order traffic, processing large streaming data, and tracking our positions in the market for calculating P&L and risk.

Our internship program is also the primary way we identify top young talent for our technology teams at Jump Trading. Excelling in this position at Jump Labs is a pathway to earning future internships and full-time positions with Jump Trading.
