Position Summary:
We are seeking a University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC) student to primarily support Abbott Nutrition’s Clinical and Nutrition Science team on a key project that aims to compile all relevant, newly published information on the functions and health benefits of key nutrients in humans and summarize information in a database. Results will contribute to the development of scientific claims for Abbott products, help generate quick-to-market innovation ideas, and improve in product formulation.
The Student Will Be Responsible For:
Reviewing and synthesizing insights from scientific literature
Writing and updating claim substantiation
Preparing a comprehensive database of nutrient functions and benefits
Communicating findings and progress to applicable project leader on a regular basis

Qualifications:
Must be enrolled as a MS or PhD student at UIUC.
Preferred B.S in nutrition science/dietetics or public health/biological sciences
Knowledge on using search engine to find literature
Experience using MS office applications
Attention to detail, effective communicator, and excellent verbal/written English language skills
Self-motivated problem solver that can lead a project from beginning to end
Start Date/Duration: Summer 2018 into Fall 2018 Semester with Possibility for Extension
